Puuhonua-o-Honaunau National Historical Park
This historical park is one of Hawaii’ mot sacred historic sites. Highlights of the park include the Great Wall, which is up to 17 feet thick in places, and the fierce-looking Kii (wooden totem-like images of the gods who protect the sacred temple).
Built in 1838, visitors can step back in time and see how royals used to live in the 1800s at this palace, originally built as a vacation home for the king.
