Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA) is about seven miles northwest of Kailua- Kona on the island of Hawaii and accommodates domestic, international, commuter/air taxi, and general aviation activities. It is the only remaining major airport in the Hawaiian Islands where a mobile ramp is used to plane and deplane passengers.

Kona Coffee Kailua-Kona lies in the middle of coffee country and is the home of Kona coffee. There are many farm tours and roadside shacks to visit and tour. Puuhonua-o-Honaunau National Historical Park This historical park is one of Hawaii’ mot sacred historic sites. Highlights of the park include the Great Wall, which is up to 17 feet thick in places, and the fierce-looking Kii (wooden totem-like images of the gods who protect the sacred temple). Hulihee Palace Built in 1838, visitors can step back in time and see how royals used to live in the 1800s at this palace, originally built as a vacation home for the king.
