Booking & Reservations

  • What is Surf Air’s cancellation policy?

Due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, all flight cancellation penalties and fees on regularly scheduled Surf Air flights will be waived until further notice, with the exception of penalties for “Getaway” flights, where a cancellation policy applies specific to those flights. Third-party operators are still subject to imposing a fee. If you’re unsure, please reach out to Member Services prior to cancelling your flight.

In a post-COVID-19 world, our standard cancellation policy for regularly scheduled Surf Air flights is as follows: Depending on if you booked with a flight pass or a single-use flight, if you cancel your flight within 24 hours of departure, a) you will lose the use of a flight pass for 21 days or be charged $500 to retain use of that flight pass or b) lose your single-use flight. Flights delayed longer than 90 minutes are exempt from this, and you have the ability to change to an earlier or later departure on the same day and same route without penalty. No-shows will result in a $500 charge or the loss of a single-use flight (depending on if you booked with a flight pass or a single-use flight).

With respect to Getaway flights: Depending on if you booked with a flight pass or a single-use flight, if you cancel your “Getaway” flight more than 72 hours after the time you booked it or if you no-show to your flight, a) you will be charged $500 to retain use of your flight pass or b) lose your single-use flight. If you book your flight up to 72 hours prior to departure, the aforementioned policy applies.

For On Demand flights, cancellations made 72 hours before departure are eligible for a 100% refund in Surf Air Credit. You may request changes to your airport, flight date, or flight time for a $50 fee. Within 72 hours of your departure, no changes are allowed and flights are non-refundable.

  • When should I arrive before my flight departs?

Members only need to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled departure. Unlike commercial travel, passengers will not wait in long security lines or board their flight 40 minutes prior to departure.

  • How far in advance of my desired flight will I be able to reserve my seat?

As a Member, you’re able to book flights weeks in advance or up to 20 minutes before your flight (if seats are still available). Log in to your account on your computer or mobile device, choose your destination, and reserve.

  • How many flights may I reserve?

For our unlimited flying memberships, you can keep two, four, or six reservations in advance at any given time (based on your membership plan). As soon as you fly, your reservation list is instantly refreshed, allowing you to book your next flight. (Just FYI: Connecting flights require the use of two flight passes.) For our pay-as-you-fly options, you may buy and book as many seats as far in advance as you’d like.

  • What if the flight I want to book is full?

If you click on a flight that’s full, you can easily add yourself to the waitlist in case there are changes and the flight becomes available. We will honor the order of our Members on the waitlist, so once a seat opens up, you’ll have the option to book it if you’re next on the list. Of course, you can always book in advance to secure your preferred flight.

  • How do I cancel a reservation if I'm not going to make it?

Simply log in to the Surf Air mobile app, select the flight, and tap Cancel. Please review our cancellation policies in advance.

  • What if I miss my flight?

Third-party operators are still subject to imposing a fee. If you’re unsure, please reach out to Member Services.

If you happen to miss your flight and fail to cancel at least 24 hours before your plane departs, in a post-COVID-19 world, our standard no-show policy for regularly scheduled Surf Air flights is as follows: No-shows will result in a $500 charge or the loss of a single-use flight (depending on if you booked with a flight pass or a single-use flight).

With respect to Getaway flights: Depending on if you booked with a flight pass or a single-use flight, if you no-show to your “Getaway” flight, a) you will be charged $500 to retain use of your flight pass or b) lose your single-use flight.
