Dinner at The Artisan

This is one of the hot restaurants of the season and one to check out on your trip. You will enjoy the highest level of locally sourced cuisine amidst an utopic garden space. We recommend the Mistkratzerli or The Black Angus Patty, and dare to add an order of the caramelized bacon strips.

Dinner at Maison Manesse

This restaurant is a contemporary brasserie that serves up an avant-garde dining experience, so much so that there is an experimental kitchen in the evenings. Since the menu is exclusively “surprise”, you will need to advise them of any dietary restrictions ahead of time when placing your reservation. This is not a menu for hearty eaters or those in a hurry; service is accordingly tailored to a long evening out. The experience itself is all about discovering, savouring and digesting, especially the giant gin and tonics, their signature cocktail.

Dinner at Rimini Bar

This place is completely tucked away in the heart of Zurich. Unreal to think that this place is a functioning bad (public baths) during the day (men only) and less than 600 metres from the centre of Swiss Banking (Paradeplatz). Secluded behind a fence along the Sihl River, this bar at the Männerbad public baths is one of Zürich’s most inviting open-air drinking spots. Its vast wood deck is adorned with red-orange party lights, picnic tables and throw cushions for lounging, accompanied by the sound of water from the adjacent pools. Open in good weather only.

Visit Seebad Enge

This is a lovely place to spend a few hours, dip in the lake, take a yoga class,  or have a drink. It’s just a swimming place by the lake . . . but in summer it becomes one of the places to be in Zurich. Often full with stylish sunglasses, there’s a bar and light food. Sometimes there’s live music. You can swim out into the lake and then back for some sun and an Aperol spritz. Heaven.
