Visit Formentera

Ibiza’s sister island, located a boat ride away, is quieter, peaceful, and boasts pristine fauna and flora. Yet so close to its wilder sister Ibiza, Formentera has nothing to envy her as her beauty and peacefulness inspires visitors to rejuvenate in its serenity. Also known for its bohemian vibe, the main thing to do in Formentera is to wander on its endless stretch of white sandy beaches.

Lunch at El Chiringuito Ibiza

Sitting on Playa Es Cavallet, El Chiringuito offers numerous options for those looking to spend a day at the beach while also enjoying a culinary experience. When the sun disappears, El Chiringuito makes for an idyllic dinner spot, looking across the sand to the blue waters of the Mediterranean. Fresh oysters, clams in white wine and flambéed mussels in pasties are some favorites here… Feast with your toes in the sand at this well-heeled spot.

Dinner at La Paloma

La Paloma is one of Ibiza’s true culinary treasures, located within a family-owned ranch. The space is divided between a formal restaurant and new café serving a daily menu of homegrown specialties and fresh seafood derived from a kitchen operated by an Italian chef, via Tel Aviv.  Expect a homemade gourmet experience involving artisanal cheeses and meats accented with homegrown herbs from the on-site garden.

Visit Benirras Beach

A Surf Air favorite on the island, this beach is tucked between San Joan and San Miguel and is only reached by car.  It is a pretty beach of partly pebbly sand with rocks either side that you can clamber over and a picturesque view across the water to an interesting rock formation known as Cap Bernat (or referred to locals as ‘the finger of God’). The seabed is rocky which makes it excellent for snorkelers.
